Work Rehabilitation

Work Rehabilitation

Work Rehabilitation (WR) is an individualized program to assist workers in meeting the
demands of a specific job using progressive exercise, work simulation tasks and education. This
program has two levels of intensity.

Work rehabilitation – Conditioning (WR-C) is intended for workers with Sedentary to Medium
physical job demands. This program is 2-4 hours in duration, 3-5 days per week. The focus
with WR-C is generalized reactivation and conditioning. PRC is currently offering this program.

Work rehabilitation – Hardening (WR-H) is a more intensive type of a WR program. It is
intended for workers with Medium to Very Heavy physical job demands with a program from 2-8
hours in duration. PRC offers this program only as available.
Both programs can be combined with modified or transitional work, and frequency of therapy
sessions can be scheduled accordingly.
